How SCIFindex works

Where listings come from

Basic listings are free and compiled from public sources, mainly each provider's own website. Each profile links its source and shows the date it was last reviewed. Providers can claim their listing to correct or add details.

Listing statuses

  • Unclaimed: compiled from public sources; the company has not reviewed it.
  • Company-claimed: the company has confirmed or updated the details. Claimed information is the company's own statement.
  • Information independently checked: SCIFindex checked specific facts (such as locations or coverage) against public records or the company on the date shown. This is not an endorsement.
  • Sponsored: the company pays for placement. Sponsored placements are always labeled.

No accreditation or certification

SCIFindex does not accredit, certify, inspect, or endorse any provider or facility, and does not infer accreditation status. Accreditation decisions are made by the responsible government Accrediting Official. Confirm credentials directly with providers.

How buyer requests are matched

Requests are matched to providers by the service requested and the provider's stated coverage or facility locations. Payment does not change which providers are matched. A person reviews each match before any details are shared, and requests are shared only with the buyer's consent.

Shared classified space

Facility records separate operating facilities from announced or planned ones, using the operator's own public statements. We do not publish sensitive facility details.

Ownership and conflicts of interest

SCIFindex's owner and a company he founded have business relationships with one or more listed providers. Those providers are never matched automatically; any referral to them is reviewed manually and disclosed to the buyer.
